Tonight we are enjoying the evening at home on the boat.  All our friends have departed, it's just us on the Suki Sweet II.  We've been chatting, reading, and chatting some more as we listen to some background jazz music on the stereo.  Our end of the dock is quiet.  With only one abandoned boat next door, we are finding it to be a perfect setting to bring to a close, our time spent here at our ultimate destination.

We’ve enjoyed our position here at the end of this T-shaped dock.  It allows us privacy yet gives us the opportunity to visit with others en route for a morning stroll for coffee, a bike ride or an evening into town for a delicious dinner.  Our neighbors include the Hendricks Motor Sports Team ( with their 81 foot Viking Sports Fisherman ), as well as Jack from Jack’s Catch Seafood – feature at Trader Joe’s Markets.  A fellow  Floridian from St. Petersburg, Jack has been the most welcoming and friendly neighbor.  Thank you Jack.
The wind continues to blow the boat away from the dock.  With the lines holding tight, the resistance lets us know we are safely secured to the cleats.

We know it's time to head out, as we're both antsy to get back into the game.  It's nice when your business fuels your spirit.  Amidst the adventure and the fun, we've succeeded to create a marketing plan for the new year along with a company website that celebrates our 30 years in business.  You can see it at RoseRestoration.com - be sure your speakers are turned up as it features our favorite song.

We have also discovered that we love our home - Yankeetown.  We miss our friends and my mom. As my dear friend Jennifer said to me tonight, there's truly no place like home.  We have found that with the technology afforded to us in this day, we can stay as close to home as possible.  We've loved listening via speaker phone to the goings-on at the Fish House.  And our friend at command-central, Jeffrey, sent us a video of the Fish House that made us laugh and long for it at the same time.  We look forward to our next visitors - perhaps that visitor is YOU!

There is still more adventure to this trip, as we travel across the Florida Bay toward Naples.  We have watched the marine forecast to determine the kind of winds we'll be up against.  There's no good end in sight.

So we have set the day for departure...in spite of the winds.  We have the gear, we'll bundle up, and weather the elements.  I'll surprise you when we arrive, to avoid unnecessary worry.  Stay tuned for more from the Suki Sweet II. Leslie & Richard Dasch
