Richard and I have become quite the boat technicians. We’re learning that it is best to be your own mechanic, cleaner, finder of leaks and detective of smells. We make a great team, if we do say so ourselves. After losing our air conditioning, we shared a high five when we were successful at finding the source of the burning smell, removing the electrical panel, cutting the seared wire and reconnecting it. We’re on a sort of mission now to solve all our issues.
There is one that continues to plague us, and that is an itsy bitsy leak. We have had our ear to the ground listening, Richard dove the bottom of the boat in his wet suit inserting plugs, all to no avail. We’re not too too worried about it, but it would be nice to resolve this one as it is a boat! And leaks are not a boat’s friend ;-) My friend Jean Ann wrote requesting the history of the name of the boat. Richard has a saying, whenever asked how things are going, he’ll say, “Life is Sweet!” And as many of you know, my nickname is Suki, so Richard named the other boat, Suki Sweet. This is our second boat, as the first one sank… well it took on enough water to total it. So life is sweet on board the Suki Sweet II. We're beginning to set our course for our next destination. Stay tuned. We love to hear from our readers! Signing off for now. Leslie & Richard |
